Beth Abroms

Founder

Beth Abroms has always been drawn to the art of transformation. What began with styling her cousins’ hair at family gatherings grew into a lifelong passion that led her from cosmetology school in Ohio to advanced training with industry icons such as Anthony Mascolo, Nick Arrojo, Lorraine Massey, and Beth Minardi. In 1999, she founded Fiddleheads Salon in Washington, D.C., a space dedicated to celebrating individuality and helping clients feel confident, beautiful, and seen.

Beth has built a reputation for her meticulous technique, warmth, and expertise in textured and curly hair. She has achieved the highest level of DevaCurl certification, trained with Toni & Guy, and embraced Massey’s groundbreaking Curly Girl approach. Her work has earned her the trust of loyal clients and recognition from public figures, including Cecile Richards and Justice Sonia Sotomayor, while also making Fiddleheads a neighborhood institution.

Beyond the salon, Beth is a devoted wife and mother, a passionate cook and gardener, and the keyboardist for The Dusty Stars. Whether she’s at home, on stage, or behind the chair, she brings patience, grit, and a deep joy for helping others thrive. For Beth, success lies not in accolades but in the everyday transformations that make her clients feel more confident, connected, and true to themselves.
